My parents named me Michelle, but most people call me Missy. I was born and raised in Las Vegas (it’s not as exciting as it sounds), and after graduating from the University of Oregon, I said goodbye to the West and hello to NYC.
I started my marketing/advertising career with a focus in copywriting, but my constant need for observation and answers (I’m an Enneagram 5) led me toward a role in content strategy. Working at a small social media agency, I was given the opportunity to wear many hats, learning everything from paid media to project management to production.
I used my years of experience creating social media strategies and content for brands big and small to co-author the third edition of the New York Times bestselling book Likeable Social Media, and I currently co-host the All the Social Ladies podcast, where I have the privilege of interviewing the most amazing women in marketing.
When I’m not scrolling social feeds, you can find me restaurant-hopping in Brooklyn (I’m always looking for recommendations), cuddling with my cat (ask me why her name is Miss Todd), or trying out a new hobby (magic didn’t go well, but growing tomatoes might stick).
